Your theme preference

When you use the theme button, the website saves your choice of light or dark mode. It stores only that choice, without a personal identifier. The preference has no set expiry and remains until you clear this website’s data or your browser removes it. Choosing a different theme replaces the saved preference.

Without a saved preference, the website follows your device’s colour settings. If your browser blocks local storage, the theme button still works for the current page, but your choice will not be remembered when you load another page.

Cloudflare: delivery, security and analytics

This website uses Cloudflare to deliver traffic, protect against bots and malicious requests, perform security challenges, and provide traffic analytics. Cloudflare processes request information, including IP addresses, to provide these services.

Depending on the security checks applied during your visit, Cloudflare may set cookies including:

Hetzner: server hosting

The website runs on a dedicated server hosted by Hetzner. Requests to the website and data submitted through it are processed on this server. Hetzner’s hosting role does not itself require a visitor cookie, and this website does not include a Hetzner cookie-setting script. Google Fonts and AbuseIPDB

Your browser retrieves fonts from Google Fonts and the contributor badge from AbuseIPDB. These external requests share connection information, such as your IP address, with the respective provider. AbuseIPDB and its delivery or security services may handle cookies according to their settings and your browser’s cookie restrictions.

Managing stored data

You can remove the saved theme preference by clearing site data for keirahopkins.co.uk in your browser settings. This resets the website to your device’s colour preference the next time you visit.
